Recently, the low-smoke halogen-free flame retardant Class 1 (B1) wire and cable products independently developed by Guda Cable Group have passed the CQC fire protection product certification after strict evaluation by the China Quality Certification Center. It is the first cable brand in Guizhou Province to obtain Class B1 fire protection product certification.
In order to solve the long-standing problem of lack of flame retardant classification standards in the cable industry and the imperfect assessment index dimension in the original flame retardant standard system, the former Sichuan Fire Research Institute of the Ministry of Public Security organized relevant units to take the lead in formulating the national mandatory standard GB31247-2014 "Classification of Combustion Performance of Cables and Optical Cables", which was released on December 5, 2014 and officially implemented on September 1, 2015. Considering the identification and selection requirements of different flame retardant grade cables, the 2020 new version of the implementation rules (CQC17-463416-2020) adds the model naming regulations for flame retardant grade cables, and adds some flame retardant B1 and B2 grade product models. CQC fire protection certification marks will be applied to the certified products to prove that the products fully meet the relevant requirements of each flame retardant grade.

The low-smoke halogen-free flame retardant Class 1 (B1) wire and cable products developed by Guda strictly implement the product standards and technical requirements of GB 31247-2014 "Classification of Combustion Performance of Cables and Optical Cables", and the products fully meet the requirements of CQC17-463416-2020 certification rules. According to the inspection by the authoritative organization, Guda low smoke halogen-free flame retardant class 1 (B1) power cable has excellent properties such as low total heat release, low heat release rate, low smoke toxicity, low total smoke production, low smoke production rate, low combustion growth rate, no combustion dripping, etc. These assessment indexes can not only reflect the combustion characteristics of the cable under actual fire conditions more truly, it is to enhance the safety performance of cable products to a new level.

By sorting out the relevant requirements of article 13.8 "selection and laying of cables" and article 13.9 "selection of non-fire load cables and communication cables" in GB 51348-2019, the corresponding combustion performance grade requirements of building cables are summarized, mainly including: wires and cables for fire power distribution lines, non-fire load with wire and cable and integrated wiring system with wire and cable three categories of products (as shown in the figure below).
According to the requirements of the above figure, it is required to use B1-level wires and cables in densely populated places, alarm buses, public buildings with a building height of more than 100m, open wires and cables on refuge floors (rooms), and some important public places such as subways, hospitals and schools.
Passing the B1 level fire protection product certification of China Quality Certification Center this time is another breakthrough in Guda's research and development innovation, and it is also the industry's re-recognition of Guda Cable Group's innovation ability.
